Built to be usable
by everyone on the crew.
Idoneity is used by safety managers, contractors, and workers on phones in the field. We want every one of them to be able to use it, whatever assistive technology they rely on.
Our standard
We are working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across the public site, the contractor portal, the hiring-client portal, and the worker orientation flow. We do not yet claim full conformance; this page will be updated as that work lands.
What we do today
- Automated accessibility scans (axe-core, WCAG 2.1 A/AA rules) of the public pages, fixed before release.
- Every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard; decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers; form fields carry visible labels.
- Text and background colors are chosen to meet the AA contrast minimum, including on the dark sections of the site.
- Animations respect the operating system’s “reduce motion” setting.
- Worker site orientations are delivered as readable text first, with an optional read-aloud mode, so the content is available without audio or video.
Known limitations
Some data-dense screens inside the portals (score breakdowns, training matrices) rely on tables and color status markers that we are still improving for screen-reader and low-vision use. Uploaded documents and videos (PDF safety programs, insurance certificates, hiring-client orientation clips) are shown as provided by their authors and may not be accessible themselves.
Something hard to use? Tell us.
If any part of Idoneity is difficult to use with your assistive technology, or you need content in another format, reach us through the contact page or write to hello@idoneity-cms.com. Please describe the page and what you were trying to do; the team reads every message and replies by email.
